Reports to: Distribution Coordinator
Hours/Wage: F/T non-exempt; 40 hrs./wk. $10.00 per hr. and up DOE
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

About the Position

The role of Warehouse Associate offers you the opportunity to demonstrate your problem-solving and teamwork skills in a safe, clean, fast-paced and friendly warehouse environment. As a full-time Warehouse Associate, you’ll play a critical role in the receiving, shipping, inspection, and preparation of customer orders.

Essential Duties and Requirements

  • Preparing customer orders for shipment
  • Receiving machine parts and materials
  • Preparing labels and labeling machine parts and materials
  • Light assembly of adjustable levers, leveling mounts, cranks, etc.
  • Loading/unloading of light machine parts and other materials
  • Inspecting, sorting, arranging, and stacking machine parts and other materials
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed here are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required. Experience with the following computer applications is valuable: Microsoft/Windows based-Word, Excel. Our parts catalog is online, so familiarity with internet navigation is needed; communication with internal customers via email/instant messaging is used. Education/Experience

Some experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, as well as a high school diploma or GED are preferred. Work with shipping, receiving, stocking, packaging, and forklift experience are desirable.

Language/Communication Ability

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals is required, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the organization.

Mathematical Ability

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts (bagging machine; vertical storage units), or on locking safety-ladders <10 feet high. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Reach with hands and arms, climb and balance on a locking safety-ladder. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Team-lifting is available and recommended for weights exceeding 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include color vision.
