GN 114.6 push button rapid release pins are used for quick
fixing, connecting and locking of various jig and fixture
systems. A typical application is locating pins which must
be removed and re-placed frequently.
The rectangular pawls made of stainless steel sheet metal keep the locking pin in an axial position in the bore. It can be retracted by pressing the button. Once the button is released it returns the pressure spring into its locking position.
The two securing pins can be retracted by pressing the button;
when it is released, the pins will once again return to the
The rectangular shape of the stainless steel securing pins creates
a linear contact area which increases axial shear strength.
Axial load values in the table at shear stress are theoretically obtained and for reference only. No safety factors have been taken into account. These are non-binding recommended values and rule out any liability.
Split ring GN 111 with various lengths of chain is available
to prevent loss or misplacement of the ball lock pin.
